Fundraising |
|
|
|
For the past 30 years, The Good Shepherd Christian School has helped shape the lives of many young people. Our success depends on the generosity and involvement of the extended Good Shepherd community. Fundraising is a vital part of the Good Shepherd program because our tuition covers only about 70% of the operating budget of the school. Additional resources are necessary to carry this dynamic education program forward and to engender the unique potential that each child carries by cultivating classroom, community, and building initiatives. Through gifts of time, talent, and treasure, the philanthropy of the entire Good Shepherd community allows us to attain these inspiring goals.

Annual gifts support numerous classroom and community initiatives throughout the school, including educational programs, professional development, financial aid, and facilities enhancement.
The school typically hosts one major fundraising event and one minor fundraising event each quarter as follows:
Major Fundraising Event Minor Fundraising Event
Sept. - Mid-Nov. Fall Fundraising Banquet (Nov 13) Pancake Breakfast at AppleBees (10/31)
Mid-Nov. - Dec. --- Scriptural Calendars, Christmas Cards
Jan. - Mid-March Read-A-Thon Spaghetti Dinner
Mid-March - June Bowl-A-Thon, Cruise on The Hudson Krispie Kreme Donuts
One of the most exciting fundraising events is the Fall Banquet. The school's largest annual event, the banquet celebrates the spirit and generosity that make Good Shepherd a truly special place.
